All patients on our Fit & Well, MD Programs receive a thorough medical examination, a personalized weight-loss plan based on your current health and weight-loss goals, and physician monitoring before, during and after the program.​. The Programs have 3 phases:

1. Rapid Weight Loss (Phase 1) . NutriMed Very Low Calorie Diet (VLCD) or Low Calorie Diet (LCD)-both using meal-replacement shakes, bars and soups

During this phase,  Daily nutrition is achieved by drinking or eating 5 protein meal replacements and one "lean and geen" meal.  In addition, weekly individual or group sessions provide useful nutrition information and focus on behavior changes such as curbing emotional eating and identifying eating triggers. 


2. Transitional Phase (Phase 2) 

This phase provides a gradual transition to solid food via a guided, reduced-calorie diet to help you continue to lose weight. Weekly group sessions focus on nutrition and exercise and examine topics such as food content and metabolism. You will work one-on-one with a dietitian to support your transition. 

3. Maintenance Program (STAR PLAN—Steps To Avoid Regain)

Participation in STAR helps you maintain focus. You will continue to use tools and knowledge gained from The Phases 1 and 2 and also learn behavior, nutrition and exercise skills needed for continued weight loss and maintenance. Group members support each other and share strategies for success.
